King Solomon once said, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it" (Proverbs 4:23).

I had to confront the elephant in my life.
For many years, I could not love properly according to God's teachings, seeing prosperity as a barrier. I naively protected a heart that deserved much more than the stubbornness I showed. When my personal transformations occurred, and God revealed Himself to me, I saw the need for the unconditional love He offers. At first, I felt resentful and mistrustful, even toward family members, which caused me to adopt a protective stance. But as I embraced the awareness of a spiritually empowered person who values others, love naturally resurfaced. The fears that once burdened me lessened, guiding me to advocate for healing others from the victimization that affected their lives.
The term Solomon uses about a guarded heart refers to the virtue that protects our reputation as morally upright people. If I prove worthy of efforts like writing and publishing a book, Raising Mother Nature, and sharing knowledge that helps others flourish through the examples I set—despite the disruptions caused by human nature in my life—it was the love I received that healed what felt broken.
The Holy Spirit offers a comforting sense of satisfaction after the pain leaves the mind. God asks for our participation during the healing process. In developing this resourceful guide to feeling whole again, I place others' lives in God’s hands. Lending a hand to survivors of abuse is the calling I heard deep inside.
My heart guards completely differently now; I cherish the responsibilities of a divine gift in the lives that matter. God has placed the world on my capable shoulders. I have carried my elephant for countless miles.
I feel blessed to be a blessing.
