As a reader deeply immersed and engaged in my interests in books, the personality of an author has always stood out most to me. If I read the back of a book and find it compelling, I have sincerely committed to the entire literature from cover to cover. I understand that algorithms and targeted keywords drive traffic to my store and website, and that word choice influences digital visibility. Technology has made salesmanship a brand awareness challenge I accept.
My new philosophy is that I can lead a horse to water and convince it to drink in abundance. There are no dead horses in my stable. I write for readers beyond genre and linear structure, avoiding the same old metered drumming. Words are the key to consciousness-informed understanding, and as a wordsmith who loves the creative process, I rely on emotion, insight, visibility, communication, identity, and relationship-building to foster trust.
I never aimed to write like everyone else. Their brilliance is theirs alone. I have read Steinbeck, Hemingway, and many other acclaimed authors. Style and voice distinguish them from the average writer. Passion fuels my imagination as I move through pages and platforms with conciseness. I perform using satire and puns while exploring serious concepts that foster growth.
For me, life is about the psychology that explores the spirituality of a soulful character dealing with philosophical worldly problems. The narrative arc addresses what ails human nature, and blending into a perfect environment allows the surroundings to project images onto a curious mind.
After everything I’ve been through to reach the level of intellect that underpins my work, I know I can only keep growing. Maybe someday a bow will be in order, but until then, I’ll just write what feels good and enjoy every second I give myself.
