When I research literary agents, a few obvious matters of fact stand out to me. I need to determine if our interests align. It makes no sense to collaborate with an agent who lacks knowledge about my subject matter. Finding a Christian agent is one of the most critical aspects of my project. Professional representation ensures that objectives supporting my efforts are met. Reading about an agent’s career is a storied experience, I must admit, that excites me. Credibility and a lasting career make an agent equal to a superhero, in my opinion. I have to believe that a strong agent will be leaps and bounds above a sole attempt to publish a heart-bleed of its emotional expressions.

I respect the process, so when a rejection arrives, I hope for the slightest feedback. After all, it is the feedback from agents and writers that helped to guide my current manuscript. Hearing what I have done well or not gave me the confidence to adapt and change direction. I also had this empowering connection to a mission, writing and citing accurate resources to counter some serious topics. Knowing my voice and who to trust my stance with allowed me to remedy situations from my past with due respect. A sensitive approach meant that I considered what emotions conveyed the truth so as not to lose a single reader’s trust.

The discussions I have held with industry professionals have felt genuine. Hearing sound advice steered the project to new heights, ensuring me that I had not wasted time during the development of my thought process. Organizing my responsibilities helped me work through the possibilities that addressed the structure of my manuscript. Using a strong argument that captured the tone of a Christian Author was no small task. God’s Word can be difficult to place atop the mindset. I had to study Scripture for years to understand its purpose. The addition of psychology and philosophy aligned with my sense of humor, not to take things overly seriously, but serious enough. Satire can be used as a form of reverence.

I know an agent with enough passion and understanding will become realistic. Writing about Christianity and an abusive life can be a tall order to expect that someone specific will materialize. I trust God, and through prayer and faith, a person with the right consciousness will feel diligent about healing psyches. Not that healing psyches is a simple task, but I know it works when love guides the human spirit. After ten years of trying to figure out the formula to remedy tragedy, a writer with determination proved me worthy of voicing the will of God. Now, I need more people to believe that faith is a powerful antidote, enabling the souls of humanity to reign on Earth as they shall be in Heaven.

Without a doubt, I know that collaborative reverence leads to passionate professions aligning like bright stars do when empowered by something compelling. Are you the agent I seek? Let us publish this manuscript and witness a far better outcome for those who require a faith-based recovery. After all, literature is an empowering resource when collaborative minds come together with a single dream in mind.

I am ready to get published.
